The invention of StarG3 solution is using multi mode to communicate between mobile terminals and receiving stations. It will save cost greatly for user to setup and maintain the whole system.
Mode 0 - SMS Mode
This is the prevail manual tracking mode, used by some basic GPS tracking products on the market. StarG3 expend this mode to instant tracking, remote setting and remote mode switching.
Mode 1 - SMTP Mode
StarG3 is the first product to using Email to transmission data between mobile terminal and receiving station through GSM network's GPRS access channel. It avoids the user from using fixed IP address and setting up own server.
Mode 2 - HTTP Mode
StarG3 is the first product to using general web server to transmission data between mobile terminal and receiving station through GSM network's GPRS access channel. It makes use of 3rd party hosted web server and avoids the user from using own fixed IP address.
Mode 3 - TCPIP Mode
Through GPRS access, with fixed IP address, a direct TCP/IP link between mobile terminal and receiving station can be created to maximum the speed of real time tracking.
